7 keys to choose your sports bra

Hitting the sports bra is essential to take care of our chest, but it is not always easy. As we love the Shock Absorber bras, we have asked their experts, who have been taking care of the chest of female athletes for 20 years. In this article they give us the keys to choose the one that best suits us and our sport:

1. That is exactly your size

A good bra should have two measures: contour of the back, which is measured under the chest, and size of the cup that is measured on the chest. Ex. 90B Do not hesitate to ask a seller specialized in lingerie to advise you on your size. Fasteners with sizes S, M and L can not guarantee the safety of your chest.

And to find the perfect size that allows you an optimal fit, remember this "trio": suspenders, cup and elastic band:

* TRICK: THE STRAPS. You have to be able to run two fingers under them, but they do not have to be too loose.

* TRICK: THE CUP. There should be no wrinkles, but the chest should not be compressed either

* TRICK: THE ELASTIC BAND. Check that it is not too wide or narrow so it does not mark your skin. The elastic band both in front and behind must be at the same height.

2. That does not carry hoop.

It can cause internal bruises and discomfort in the breasts.

3. Adapted to your sport.

It is very important that you adopt the type of restraint depending on the level of impact of the sport practiced. A matter of logic: Pilates means less rebound than cycling. Shock Absorber has 3 types of support High, Maximum, and Extreme that are measured depending on the reduction of the rebound (between 50% for the High clamping and up to 78% for the Extreme clamping).

4. Separate cups.

The ergonomic pattern should prevent the chest from coming together in the central part to avoid chafing and ensure full support.

5. Breathable material and quick drying.

Better in microfibers able to evacuate perspiration than in cotton.

6. Lined closures and flat seams.

The preparation must be as "clean" as possible. Avoid thick seams, labels and closures in contact with the skin to prevent chafing and irritation.

7. Always test before buying.

Do not trust yourself even if you know your measurements, each brand and model is different. Check that the cups are in your chest but not pressing. The back strap can not be too high and should be at the same height as your chest. Now ... Jump! The movement of your chest should be practically nil.
